Junior Doctor [Adventure]

Congratulations, you did it!

You hacked your way through the jungle of lectures, dissections, ward rounds, being swallowed alive by the boa constrictors of biochemistry and pharmacology textbooks (or was it the other way round?), sleeplessness, hopelessness…and still managed to complete medical school with your desire for adventure still intact.

That’s a tremendous accomplishment. 🥳

So, the question is: what is your next adventure going to be?

Many newly qualified doctors fall prey to the quicksand of sunk costs that are full of guilt, shame and condemnation of others.

After all the sacrifices we made to get you through medical school…your grandmother’s dying wish was to see you take over the family clinic…how could you waste all that training, what with all of the sick patients out there who need you…

What do you do with that? How do you stay true to your heart whilst contending with all the noise from your friends, family and society in general? And what about all the debt?

That’s what this Adventure is all about. The blog posts below will give you tools, insights, strategies and word-for-word scripts that you can use to answer these questions. And if you don’t find what you’re looking for or notice something missing that needs to be addressed, please post them in the comments section below.
